Raymond Produced 2,500 Face Shields for Healthcare Workers and First Responders

This spring, Raymond’s innovative engineering team and associates 3D printed and assembled face shields at the company’s headquarters in Greene, N.Y.

GREENE, N.Y., April 20, 2020 —This spring, Raymond’s innovative engineering team and associates 3D printed and assembled face shields at the company’s headquarters in Greene, N.Y. The team produced more than 2,500 face shields and dispersed them to local hospitals and emergency responders throughout Chenango and Broome Counties.

“Like everyone, we at Raymond heard the appeals for protective equipment from our local healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michael Field, president and CEO of The Raymond Corporation. “As an essential business, we have an acute understanding of the need worldwide to provide our heroic doctors, nurses and first responders for the PPE equipment they desperately require. Raymond has the ability and desire to utilize our vast production capabilities to support those crucial employees.”

Raymond executives, development engineering, procurement, IT, MRO department, manufacturing engineering and assemblers all contributed to the production. Raymond will continue to evaluate what else can be done to help the many extended Raymond family members who work in the medical field.
